I'm single. That's the hand I've been dealt. Such is life. Being single and trying to fit in once the years have accumulated is no easy thing.
But that's where I am. Many of my age are doing what they set out to do years and years ago with the one/s they met when they were young. So they are no longe available. Whatever. So I've been trying to find my way in your world. At best, I'm accepted as an observer. I can see your point. No one is attracted to an "older guy." No one wants to hang out. I didn't either at your age. I've done all I know to do. I've given out my number and made myself available online...and I go out and do fun things in exciting places. But no one's interested. Sooo, time has caught up with me and put me adrift in nowhere. "Sigh."

May your plans and dreams work out they way you hoped for. Otherwise...you will find yourself where I am some day. And you will be clueless as to what to do...or whom to do it with.

Paulie I am 38 and the majority of my friends are 10-12 years younger than me. I am in the same situation but one thing I know for sure is I have a good time regardless. Today’s society is full of clicks and if you are not in a click then you are and outcast; Power and Light for example. I know tons of people but not good enough to be in that click which I really don’t want to be. Clicks are for kids so I let them have it but what the young people of today lack is genuine good hearts. I mean if I walk over to you and say hi then I would think you would say hi back but no way because I’m outside the “click” and not what you are looking for in a guy you just ignore me. Sorry to say but I might not be looking for you just being nice which the younger generation has lost.

One of my mottos for my nephews, nieces and teens I mentor is get to know as many people as you can, send them a note over the years keep in-touch because you never know when you will need them; and just be yourself. No its not about just needing them but its about loyalty; people trust you when you show loyalty. Yes most of my friends live in other states but those I do have here do respect my Loyalty and elder :>) so Paulie all I can say is keep doing what you do, no one can take your youth or experience away; we are a dying breed (with real personality). I might have taken this further than you meant it to go but you sparked something in me that I needed to get out.
