So ... what did everyone do on Labor Day weekend?

Here's my lazy schedule:

- Friday: Ate a fabulous meal at Delaware Cafe, including something fizzy called Melon Soda.

- Saturday: Craving more melons. Went to City Market and bought three watermelons, including the kind that's yellow inside. Anyone ever have that? Might be better than the traditional red variety.

Sunday: Downloaded Mad Men season 1 on iTunes and got through most of it before watching - what? - seven or so hours of the Mad Men season 2 marathon on AMC.

Monday: Labored at work.

Friday I celebrated my birthday with a few friends at red snapper.
Had a few beers and a premium cigar. It was a great birthday.

Saturday I was lazy and played poker for about 5 hours.

Sunday I went to greaserama and saw a few bands and took a lot of pictures. You can see them at

Monday I was lazy again but did go see some friends in the evening and take some more pictures.

Other than that I spent way to much time on inkkc.com!!

Let's see...Friday after work I went to see the Ladies of BDU @ Crosstown Station at 9pm, then over to PBR Big Sky till 1:30ish.
Sat. my oldest son Ben came over around 11am and we spent the day together...a rarity since he's almost 19 and all kinds of busy these daysSmile
Sunday was Oceans of Fun by noon, and then VooDoo Lounge at 10pm for their first ever club/celebrity night with 4 of the KC Chiefs.
Monday was Oceans of Fun again after bfast out with Karen and meeting up with friends poolside...and I hated to go! But I had work again by 5 for a couple hours. That where it ended.
I "ban" non-smoking facilities!
