Doing it big in relationships

Remember that fake "Will you marry me?" billboard downtown? "What a schmuck. He could have bought a bigger ring or put a down payment on a house or upgraded the honeymoon." is what I thought as soon as I saw it. "Why does he have to annouce the proposal to the whole city?" But it was a grand guesture. Well, it was an ad, but it was supposed to look like a grand guesture to make all the women in town swoon. I figured he had more money than he knew what to do with and seemed uh, let's say "nerdy" enough, that the billboard made sense for his level of social skills, (before I found out it was a bogus jewelry ad).
