Olathe

Where: Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm, 1200 Kansas City Road

What: The Olathe Civic Band performs a 7:30 p.m. show, following a 19th century baseball game an hour earlier. Fireworks begin at dark. Admission is free. Stagecoach rides are $2 per person.

What: The day-long Booms & Blooms Celebration begins at 2 p.m. with children’s activities. Live jazz starts at 4:30 p.m., and the Lee’s Summit Symphony Orchestra performs a pops concert at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks kick off around 9:30 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-12.
