Six KC patios and rooftops for summer drinks [Partner]

When the weather is just right and a refreshing cocktail is calling your name, head to one of these six Kansas City spots. And, you can afford to try more great outdoor spaces this summer with the Passport Program, which offers deals from local bars and restaurants.

Harry’s Country Club

Located in the River Market, the patio at Harry’s Country Club is the ideal spot to unwind after work. Grab a group of your co-workers, post up at a picnic table and order a round of Moscow Mules.

The patio of SoT -- it stands for South of Truman -- is tucked away on Grand Boulevard. There you’ll enjoy the bar’s elevated cocktail menu, which includes the Ghostface Painkillah, made with rum and pineapple, and the Smoky Cocktail, served full of smoke from charred banana leaves.

The Well

A summer bars list wouldn’t be complete without mention of this popular rooftop patio. Whether you’re indulging in a beer with dinner or just looking for a shaded place to day drink, the Well has room for all.

Brown & Loe

If you’re a fan of Harry’s Country Club, you’ll enjoy the owner’s second concept located in the former Merchant’s Bank, built in 1920. Request a table at the outdoor patio for a great view of the district with quality food and drink to match. We love the el-Loe-co cocktail.

Il Lazzerone

Come for the Napoleon-style pizza, stay for the drink specials. This family-owned River Market spot opened in 2015 and has been a favorite of local diners and drinkers ever since. The outdoor dining area is both spacious and quaint, with enough room to share a table with your closest friends. If you bring your Passport along, you’ll receive a two-for-one special on Vermouths of the Moment, Amaros of the Moment, or Negronis on tap.

Café Trio

In the mood for a martini? In Kansas City, that means Café Trio. We love this Plaza-area bar’s Liquid Cocaine, made with Stoli, Southern Comfort, amaretto, triple sec and pineapple juice. The sexy patio has its own bar so your next drink is never far and there is enough shade to keep you cool on the hottest summer day. The view of one of Kansas City’s crown jewels doesn’t hurt.

Find two-for-one deals at all of these bars with the Kansas City Passport, “a boozy field guide” to help you discover more of what’s great about KC. Cheers!
